Scope of Work

The Financial Specialist will be tasked with the following:

• Support financial analysis of initiatives
• Review cost estimates and funding assumptions
• Assist with financial planning
• Identify financial pressures, risks, and funding gaps across the portfolio.
• Provide financial input to planning discussions with divisions and management.
• Conduct monthly analysis of financial forecasts and spending trends.
• Monitor updates to financial information and identify outdated or incomplete records.
• Liaise with program owners and directors to validate financial information.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting.
• Review financial components of proposals
• Validate costing assumptions and funding sources.
• Identify financial risks or gaps in submissions.
• Provide recommendations to improve financial clarity of proposals.

Requirements:

• A relevant University degree related to Finance
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including previous government experience
• An active security clearance with the Government of Canada
• Candidates must provide references with each project listed in their resume
